Vincent Van Gogh in Auvers-Sur-Oise

In May 1890, Vincent Van Gogh decided to settle himself in the little village of Auvers-Sur-Oise after visiting his brother in Paris.

Auvers-Sur-Oise is a very well-known village within the artist world.

Paul Cezanne had done some of his paintings there.

Van Gogh lived there from May 1890 until his death on July 29, 1890.

He painted over 70 painting during his time there. He is now buried next to his brother in the small cemetary of Auvers-Sur-Oise.

In the photo right after the painting, we can see the actual stairs that Van Gogh painted in the painting.

En May 1890, Vincent Van Gogh decida de s’installer dans le petit village de Auvers-Sur-Oise apres une visite a Paris chez son frere.

Auvers-Sur-Oise est un petit village tres connu par les artistes peintres. Paul Cezanne y a passe quelques temps.

Vincent Van Gogh a habiter las-bas de Mai 1890 jusqu’a sa mort le 29 Juillet 1890.

Il a peint plus de 70 tableaux total las-bas.
