Ekphrastic-poetry, poetry by Pamela Taylor, photography Katia Singletary

My friend Pamela Taylor came to the opening of the gallery last night and wrote this poem on one of my photo.

She is so talented!

The clouds are thick

with secrets. They know

where the road turns

from dust to gravel to white

staccato lines on black

pavement. They see the bend

before you feel the sharp left turn

shift the pit of your stomach.

By the time you make things

right again, all the blood

from your knuckles is gone.
