I took this photo in the village of Sarlat-La-Canedat in the region of Dordogne in France.
Incredible region that I was visiting to expand my knowledge for the Foie Gras, the walnut oil, and the Prehistorical caves.
For those of you that do not subscribe to my Professional travel blog, here is my last post.
I was a happy camper when my parents ( so lucky to have them) did give us the privilege this summer to treat us to a fabulous trip to the Haut-Medoc. I was in Heaven. I was able to discover a region of France that I never been and neither did my parents. What a treat!
Here is the link and photos of the journey.
Ha Paris! Who has not dreamed of the romantic city? Waking up in a Paris, listening to the guy on the bank of the Seine river playing “La Vie en Rose” with the accordion, eating croissants from the Boulangerie of the corner!
Well, I was so excited to hear that Delta Airlines is finally bringing the Raleigh, Durham area, a direct flight to Paris in the spring 2016. No more connections to no end, to fly there. As a French/ American Citizen, I look forward to a long weekend in the Capital of fashion, the country of gourmet food, the history of such an old European country.
I imagine, leaving on Thursday night from RDU, arriving Friday morning in Paris, enjoying the day walking Montmartre, seeing the Eiffel towel, going on a tour in a “Peniche” (the French Seine River sightseeing boat), and finishing the evening eating in a local Bistro. Saturday, I would be waking up to the smell of the “Pain au chocolat “, and spending the day at the Louvre, or Versailles….. And Sunday come back home to RDU.
Of course, that would mean that Monday morning , I would be totally homesick for my croissant! I would take my car, and end up at the French Corner Bakery ….
Home west home to me. Where I was born, where I always seem to go back on each trip.
I had such a tight schedule that day, but still manage to go walk around on my old playground : The Castle and take photos .
Fougeres is a city full of charm, character and beauty!
Enjoying editing photos from my trip last month. Wow! How much fun it was reconnecting with my family, my friends, and seeing some of the country with my parents.
Paris…so excited I got to spend 2 days there. My parents had bought tickets for me to go see the spectacle at the Moulin Rouge. I was able to meet with my best friends Olivier and Stephanie for a nice meal , after we walked around and went to the Sacre Coeur.
My parents had also bought tickets to the boat ride on the Seine River. I am a lucky girl, and appreciated all of it! So grateful to have them in my life.
I spent all day wondering, how will I edit my photos, from my recent trip to England and France? How does one go back through each photo?
I think, sometimes this is where I feel like I do have a gift, I tell stories with photos and not words.
So here is my first photo!
Here is my first photo from Noirmoutier….I can still smell the salt.
So hard to start editing after a long trip. I never know where to start….I remember taking this photo and wanted to see how it had come out.
It was a private propriety on the ocean. It leads to a cabin for fishermen. Very interesting door, very conceptual of Heaven door, or Hell door. Happy how the photo came out. This photo is not photoshop as usual
